Maid workers homesick are similar to 1st year university students. But universities students could arrange friends and relative to visit them. Call them. But Maid would not have similar support.
But you could find many useful advise to reduce homesick effect
Both universities strong recommend that suffering students shall talk with friends or counsellors more often. Our agency provide free counselling service to our workers. If you find our maid have any sign of homesick, please call us immediately. Earlier will be better
Maid enjoy TV show. It could help to diverse their focus. And they may start to enjoy their work and life in Singapore.
Calling home may not be good ideal. But you could encourage your maid to write letter, and you should supply them with stamps.
